Position Overview
We’re looking for a Business Operations Manager, Human Data who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and wants to have a direct impact on how we scale a complex, services-driven AI business.
As part of our Human Data team, your mission is to build the financial and operational systems that drive margin, pricing accuracy, and scalable delivery. You’ll partner closely with Sales, Human Data Operations, Services, and Accounting to ensure we can scope, execute, and deliver work efficiently and profitably.
This is a full-time role based in the Seattle or West Coast area, with a clear path toward Director-level ownership or GM-style scope as the business scales.
What You’ll Accomplish
In your first 3 months you’ll…
- Build and deploy financial models, pricing calculators, and forecasting tools used in active deals
- Create and operationalize end-to-end workflows from sales → delivery → invoicing
- Identify and implement AI-first automations that reduce manual work, improve speed, and increase accuracy
- Establish initial visibility into margins and project performance
In your first year you’ll…
- Drive consistent, predictable gross margin improvement across projects
- Improve pricing accuracy and forecasting reliability across the business
- Build scalable systems that increase revenue and margin per employee
- Shape the operating model for Human Data Services as we scale
You’ll Thrive in This Role If You…
- Have strong experience in financial modeling, business operations, or consulting
- Have built tools or systems that improve margins, pricing, or forecasting
- Are comfortable working across multiple stakeholders (sales, ops, finance, product)
- Know how to build structure in ambiguous environments
- Are AI-native and actively use tools or automation to increase leverage
- Communicate with clarity and can translate analysis into business decisions
- Take ownership, move quickly, and care deeply about outcomes
About the Team
You’ll work with:
- Sales: partnering on pricing, packaging, and deal scoping
- Human Data Operations & Services: building systems for delivery and resource allocation
- Accounting: ensuring clean handoffs for invoicing, AP/AR, and financial tracking
- Manager (Dave Coburn): providing strategic guidance and support while giving you ownership

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $115,000 - $135,000
