Warehouse Associate at Gear Up Sports

Compensation: $15 - $16/hr

Job Summary: The Warehouse Associate performs various warehouse duties including order picking, replenishment, receiving, counting, inventory management, and material handling to support efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Pick orders using RF scanners or pick lists with high accuracy
  • Verify product codes and quantities
  • Replenish pick locations from reserve storage areas
  • Unload delivery trucks and verify shipment contents
  • Count and inspect incoming materials for accuracy and damage
  • Match received items against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Enter receiving data into warehouse management system
  • Label and prepare items for put-away
  • Perform cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Maintain organization of pick zones and bin locations
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely (pallet jacks, hand trucks)
  • Maintain clean and organized warehouse areas
  • Follow safety protocols and procedures
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to supervisor
  • Process returns and damaged goods
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of warehouse experience preferred
  • Basic math, reading comprehension, and computer skills
  • Ability to use RF scanners
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to work at a fast pace
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Good hand-eye coordination

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RF scanning equipment
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Forklift certification
  • Order picking experience in high-volume environment
