Position Summary: Gear Up is seeking a seasoned, hands-on manager to lead our multi-disciplinary operations and production teams. You will oversee warehousing, heat transfer application and shipping, while working closely with our onsite partner to ensure decorations arrive defect-free and timing aligns with our production schedule. Performance will be measured based on quality and velocity metrics. You’ll manage team performance, capacity, and quality through example and coaching. You’ll work closely with our art and webstore operations teams’ as well as sales and production and warehousing to deliver on time for game time and drive ongoing process improvement.
Hours: Expect 50 hours per week. This is an on-site position.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage the Warehouse Operations – Product receipts, replenishments, cycle counting, and order picking.
- Manage the Production – Product filtering, decoration application, inspection, packaging and shipping.
- Work with our onsite partner to smooth out production flow and plan future requirements.
- Take ownership and accountability for all operations activities.
- Collaborate with production and art with regards to decoration issues and assist in establishing standards – callouts, exceptions, model approvals, etc.
- Report on site performance, bottlenecks and opportunities to peers and senior management.
- Manage health and safety in the facility.
- Manage on-site gearUP team members.
- Establish weekly schedules and including seasonal overtime requirements for the team.
- Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to onsite leaders in all functional areas.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Gather input, write and deliver employee performance evaluations.
- Work cross-functionally to reduce waste, resolve issues, and lead/support projects.
- Support company-wide implementation and adoption of new technologies and capabilities.
Required Skills, Qualifications & Education:
- At least 8 years experience in high volume print production and/or like environment.
- At least 5 years experience in an interdisciplinary leadership role.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or comparable ERP.
- Proficient in MS Office; Excel and Word.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Experience coaching and correcting team members.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to learn and navigate new processes and computer applications.
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher is desirable.

Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to kneel, squat, bend and lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Talking, listening, and typing for extended periods of time
- Manipulation of computer mouse and other small wrist movements required for digital design tools
- Ability to see and distinguish colors.
