Salary: $20-24/hour

Job Description Summary: Order Specialists process bulk customer orders, place corresponding supplier orders, and monitor and trouble-shoot orders through fulfillment and delivery. This role proactively communicates with Gear Up’s Sales and Fulfillment teams and supplier contacts to communicate order status, problem-solve, and facilitate on-time delivery to customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Create and process sales orders.
  • Purchase items from suppliers to fulfill orders.
  • Follow up on outstanding purchases and communicate changes or delays.
  • Interact with the sales team, suppliers, and the fulfillment teams.
  • Create, update, and train others on workflow processes.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement efforts.
  • Other projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • In-person attendance is generally expected 32 hours per week.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy and commitment to quality.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 tools including Outlook, Excel, and Teams or another collaborative communication platform.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Speed and accuracy in data entry
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think and act quickly to provide timely resolution to issues.

  • Calm and productive in the face of deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Ability to read and interpret order requests and other written instructions.
  • Ability to work overtime during peak season periods
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous involvement in athletic programs a plus

Experience & Education
  • 1-3 years of experience in order entry/management, purchasing, or customer service in a high-volume environment.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time
  • Talking, listening, and typing for extended periods of time
  • Manipulation of computer mouse and other small wrist movements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Ability to kneel, squat, bend and lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
