Software Development Engineer in Test (AI SaaS Company) at SkyPoint Cloud

As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) at SkyPoint AI, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our Data & AI SaaS platform. Your mission will be to design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive innovation in our testing processes. If you're a problem-solving wizard with a zeal for delivering top-notch automation solutions, this role is made for you!
A Day in the Life
· Collaborate with software developers, AI engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into test strategies and plans.
· Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, tools, and test suites to ensure efficient and reliable software testing.
· Write and execute complex automation test cases, perform thorough regression testing, and analyze automation test results to identify and report defects.
· Collaborate with development teams to promote testability, provide input on architectural design, and implement testability features.
· Conduct performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate system performance and scalability.
· Identify areas for test process improvement, drive test automation initiatives, and implement best practices to enhance overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.
· Investigate and troubleshoot complex technical issues, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
· Establish and enforce quality standards, processes, and guidelines throughout the software development lifecycle.
· Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, assisting in their professional growth and development.
· Stay updated with the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software testing and quality assurance.
· Work on new technical solutions to improve automation framework and increase test productivity.
Location: Global Technology Park, Bellandur, Bangalore, India (Hybrid)
What You Need
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from a top tier school with 2+ years of experience working as an SDET for SaaS products.
· Strong programming skills in one or more languages, such as Python, C#, or JavaScript.
· Extensive experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, BDD, Azure DevOps) and related tools.
· Proficiency in building and maintaining automated test scripts, test suites, and test data.
· Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
· Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps CI/CD).
· Knowledge of API testing tools and techniques, such as Karate, REST Assured, or similar.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex issues and propose effective solutions.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
Education:
B.E/ B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from top-tier school (IITs, RECs, etc.).
