About this position:

As the Sr. Director of Analytics, you lead the analytics function at TrovaTrip, and partner closely with the Executive team and department heads to translate data into actionable insights that inform business strategies and enhance our products and services. You will be responsible for establishing a data-driven culture, implementing best practices, and guiding the organization in making informed decisions to achieve our ambitious goals.

Essential functions:

Data Strategy and Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data analytics strategy that aligns with TrovaTrip's business and expansion objectives. Lead a team of analysts to deliver actionable insights, dashboards, and reports that support a data-driven culture across the organization. Evangelize learnings, insights and opportunities across the organization.

Data-driven Decision Making: Collaborate closely with the Executive and cross-functional teams including Product, Sales, Marketing, Trip Experience, Engineering, People Experience and Finance to solve analytical challenges and identify opportunities to drive growth, improve operations, and enhance the customer journey.

Performance Tracking & Reporting: Establish and monitor performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, product enhancements, and operational initiatives. Create visually engaging dashboards and reports that effectively communicate complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ensure data is presented in a clear and actionable manner.

Advanced Analytics & Innovation: Explore predictive and prescriptive analytics to forecast trends, customer behaviors, and potential business outcomes. Use statistical models and machine learning techniques to uncover new opportunities and prioritize expansion.

Data Infrastructure and Integration: Oversee the development and maintenance of a robust data infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of data from diverse sources while maintaining data quality and security. Leverage Snowflake to power in-product analytics for our various customers: Hosts, Travelers, and Operators.

Data Governance and Integrity: Establish data quality standards and ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security. Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to maintain robust data infrastructure. Develop, manage and maintain an analytics repository of documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience (8+ years) in analytics, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success as an analytics leader in a high-growth technology start-up, preferably with a marketplace or B2B2C company.
  • Expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Sigma, Tableau, Power BI) and data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
  • Strong experience with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms.
  • Experience in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning concepts.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to partner with the Executive team and be a strong voice for analytics within the organization.
  • Experience with Snowflake and Segment or similar CDPs.
