VP of Product at Tilt

Tilt (check us out here) is looking for a VP of Product to join our team and help us scale our business by leading a product team that ships solutions at the speed of business and can be measured, tested and continuously optimized. This position is a full-time role reporting to the CTO. We want you to be successful here at Tilt! Below is a description of your responsibilities, including the things you will be held accountable for and the virtues, behaviors and competencies that are expected for this role. 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing effective forms of product planning, customer discovery, product discovery and product development process  

  • Jumping into existing work to define, represent and communicate product strategy and outcome based roadmaps to all stakeholders

  • Leading and mentoring a product team that remains aligned and engaged with their day to day work  

  • Leaning into customer conversations and diving deep into industry trends to leverage market analysis and define and prioritize an outcome based roadmap 

  • Defining concrete areas of focus to align the team and long term strategy 

  • Enabling new product discovery & features through rapid experimentation, customer research, design and A/B testing 

  • Informing decisions with both qualitative and quantitative data 

  • Monitoring product sprints and deliverables and interjecting as an additional resource when necessary 

  • Collaborating with the engineering team to deliver high-impact and high-quality product releases on time 

  • Communicating transparently and effectively across the business to create visibility and alignment about product priorities and outcomes 

  • Working cross functionally to collaborate on pricing strategy

  • Creating and operating within a yearly budget in tandem with the finance team

  • You have a proven track record of increasing growth and retention, translating strategic goals into a roadmap, OKRs, staffing requirements, and team structure

  • You have successfully developed and executed a product strategy and plan in collaboration with marketing, sales, and customer success

  • You are highly analytical and see data as insight to actionable improvements 

  • You have lead and grown a product team while prioritizing their learning and development 

  • You have worked in an agile environment and feel confident in your ability to execute product work using this methodology

  • You have worked with a product in a highly regulated industry such as a banking, healthcare or human resources

  • You have high levels of empathy and can connect deeply with Tilt’s mission

  • You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments and know that we need your help to figure things out 

  • You are a comfortable using a lot of systems at once, and have the ability to learn software quickly

  • You’re fearlessly flexible, curious; aka you thrive in this environment and love a challenge

  • You have experience working in a startup and B2B SaaS business

Total Compensation 

The projected annual salary range is $170,000-$185,000 USD plus stock options (ISOs), because we believe everyone should have some stake in our business. We are people-first and this ain’t some PR jazz, we truly give a damn about our peeps!
