People Operations Specialist at Tilt

Tilt (check us out here) is looking for a People Operations Specialist to join our team! As a People Operations Specialist at Tilt, you will be responsible for preparing total compensation and benefits packages, setting up company playbooks, maintaining information systems, and updating employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of the employee life-cycle and solid knowledge of PeopleOps/HR best practices. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our PeopleOps procedures run smoothly at all times.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and reviewing total compensation and benefits packages

  • Sourcing and administering health benefits, 401k program, and other programs related to total compensation

  • Assisting the Finance and Legal teams with stock option administration

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Rippling (HRIS) to maintain accurate and compliant employee records, run reports, and manage overall health of the platform 

  • Maintaining organizational charts and salary records for new hires and status changes 

  • Running payroll bimonthly 

  • Creating communications to Tilt employees for quarterly all hands, and bimonthly P&C standups 

  • Developing and implementing PeopleOps playbooks throughout the organization

  • Working hand in hand with our Employee Success Manager to remove any blockers for maintaining happy and healthy employees 

  • Staying up-to-date and complying  with changes in employment law 

  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by overseeing application provisioning and deprovisioning in partnership with our IT vendor. 

You’re a great fit if

  • You have experience and a proven track record as a PeopleOps/HR Specialist or PeopleOps/HR Generalist

  • You have hands-on experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including Rippling and Lattice

  • You have a solid understanding of employment law and payroll processes 

  • You are a certified HR personal 

  • You enjoy being part of a small and collaborative team

  • You have high levels of empathy and can connect deeply with Tilt’s mission

  • You are comfortable working in ambiguous environments and know that we need your help to figure things out 

  • You are considered by others to be a self-starter and able to work without a lot of direction  

  • You are a comfortable using multiple systems at once, and have the ability to learn software quickly

  • You have experience working with a startup and/or with a B2B SaaS business

Total Compensation 

The projected annual salary range is $85,000-$95,000 USD plus stock options (ISOs), because we believe everyone should have some stake in our business. We are people-first and this ain’t some PR jazz, we truly give a damn about our peeps!
