Corporate Legal Manager at Tilt

Tilt (check us out here) is looking for a Corporate Legal Manager to join our team and help us scale our business by being an integral part of the Legal and Compliance team. In this role you will lead contract processing and contribute to the continued knowledge of legal and compliance matters within the leave of absence space. This position is a full-time role reporting to the COO, Kait Feeney. We want you to be successful here at Tilt! Job Description: Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the first point of contact in Tilt contract negotiations; you will draft,  review, edit, and authorize red lines for all Tilt contracts including new customers, renewals, partnerships, and third parties.

  • Responding promptly and with tact to a wide range of complex legal requests from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assisting the legal and compliance team in research related to leave policies at the federal, state, local, and international level to inform product enhancements and help educate Tilters including sales and customer success teammates.

  • Being a self starter and jumping in and filling the gaps on projects where there is work to be done.

  • Working closely with sales Account Executives to identify key risks and gaps within contracts and recommending solutions to mitigate these risks. 

  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations within the leave of absence space. 

  • Continual monitoring of contracts with current customers to ensure all information is kept current and accurate. 

  • Streamlining the contract review process to ensure potential customers experience a seamless and speedy review process. 

  • Reviewing existing customer contracts to accurately prepare new contract requests and/or respond to internal/external contract inquiries.

You’re a great fit if 

  • You have proven experience working as a Corporate Legal Specialist,  Contract Analyst or Contract Manager within a Saas environment 

  • You have experience supporting legal and or compliance professionals in a law firm or legal department

  • You have experience within a highly regulated environment such as  leave of absence

  • You have advanced written and verbal communication skills and the proven ability to engage internal and  external stakeholders 

  • You have a high degree of professionalism and integrity and understand the degree of confidentiality that comes with dealing with sensitive matters 

  • You are highly organized, have high attention to detail and can manage multiple projects at once 

  • You are a comfortable using a lot of systems at once and have the ability to learn software quickly

  • You’re fearlessly flexible thrive within an ambiguous environment

Bonus points if:

  • You have international leave of absence experience 

  • You are a licensed attorney or have your JD Degree 

  • You have experience working with a startup and/or with a B2B SaaS business

  • You are on fiercely passionate about making leave not suck

Total Compensation 

The projected annual salary range is $85,000-$100,000 USD plus stock options (ISOs), because we believe everyone should have some stake in our business. We are people-first and this ain’t some PR jazz, we truly give a damn about our peeps!
