Director, Private Wealth - Crowdstreet Advisors at CrowdStreet

We have created a new Director, Private Wealth position with a primary responsibility for establishing strategic relationships and distribution partnerships with private wealth firms and platforms. This is a business development and sales role to help raise investor capital within our expanding Investor & Wealth Solutions (IWS) business. IWS represents CrowdStreet's premium investment management and advisory services, which includes private limited partnerships and registered funds, privately managed accounts (PMA) and wealth management solutions. The Private Wealth team establishes a leadership position in the industry for CrowdStreet, as we extend our unique investment solutions that tap into our deal flow of institutional-quality real estate opportunities to financial advisors and their clients.

You will play a major role in the early development of a necessary strategic initiative at a fast-growing alternative investment platform. You will be a visible role at our organization and will initially report to the SVP/Head of IWS and President of CrowdStreet Advisors.


The Success You'll Build: Primary Responsibilities and Impact

  • Refine and execute a detailed business plan for CrowdStreet to become a leading real estate investment solution for financial advisors and their clients in the private wealth market
  • Identify and establish distribution relationships/agreements with relevant audience of private wealth managers and platforms that align with our investment products and services, including RIAs, independent/regional/national broker dealers, private banks and wirehouses
  • Raise capital and secure new commitments for CrowdStreet Advisors sponsored funds & services that meet and exceed targets
  • Lead/manage effective marketing campaigns and collateral in collaboration with Marketing and other stakeholders
  • Partner with Investment Products and other internal stakeholders in identifying new fund and other portfolio solution opportunities

The experience that will help you succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration or related fields (Advanced degrees or industry certifications a plus)
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63/65 (or 66) required or must be obtained within licensing time frame after hire
  • 5 or more years relevant private real estate fund sales and business development experience within the private wealth industry required
  • Strong relationships and demonstrated track record of raising capital from accredited investor and qualified purchaser clients of financial advisors, including experience with onboarding alternative investment products at custody and wealth platforms
  • Deep understanding on using data to design and improve client engagement and sales campaigns
