About this Role:

As Sr. Director, Product Management you’ll be a key member of the product team working cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, sales, customer success and program management stakeholders to release innovative software solutions that generate value for our customers.

In this position, you will represent the users of our product and drive product development to fulfill the product roadmap at the epic and feature level. By guiding design, mentoring the product team and collaborating with engineering to achieve on time product delivery, you will have a direct impact on the value driven approach to Owl’s platform releases. 

The ideal candidate for this role can drive cross-functional collaboration towards the successful development and delivery of digital healthcare solutions. You will use your strong communication skills to evangelize the Owl platform, features, and capabilities to internal and external stakeholders. You are skilled at solving problems and can clear conceptual and technical roadblocks. You are able to acquire and synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data inputs to inform your decision-making about the product experience. You have strong project and people management experience and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. You enjoy building and implementing processes as part of your day-to-day responsibilities to ensure product quality and team efficiency. You are comfortable in a player/coach role and seek opportunities to mentor team members towards success.  You have recruited and managed successful product management teams including product managers, user experience/user interface designers, and ideally clinical content creators through quality development and releases processes.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Serve as a lead product owner in an Agile environment developing new and innovative solutions within the Owl platform. You’ll attend daily scrum meetings for engineering and product teams to represent the voice of the customer and to help guide data driven decision-making.  
  • Manage a high-performing product team that is focused on continuous improvement and quality of output. 
  • Take a player/coach approach to influence and drive product team members to success: coach team members, provide feedback, support team and individual OKR goal setting that aligns with company business objectives, supports prioritization, and implement scalable processes. 
  • Lead feature definition and develop product prototypes and plans that support the business strategy 
  • Lead product team members to consistently deliver through successful product discovery, design, specification, development and release processes; Mentor team members on product best practices for continuous product delivery in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to prioritize and manage new feature and content development to support roadmap initiatives and customer value drivers that result in well designed solutions delivered on time
  • Develop effective release plans and stakeholder training to successfully deliver value to our customers through solutions that increase their time to value with the Owl platform.
  • Support the successful and timely delivery of releases through backlog prioritization, release definition and by resolving blockers to collaboratively achieve on-time release delivery
  • Use both qualitative and quantitative data to inform prioritization and decision making
  • Develop clinical and non-clinical workflows in an EMR integrated platform while seeking to  reduce user (clinical and patient) burden and increasing satisfaction and adoption
  • Partner and collaborate across functions with your peers (engineering, marketing, sales, program management, clinical, and customer success) as you evangelize and serve as subject matter expert about the product and the user experience.

 

Your Background & Experience:

  • You see yourself as a player/coach seeking to collaborate and empower those you lead. 
  • Experience mentoring and managing product team members (e.g., product managers, content managers, researchers, UX/UI designers) through all aspects of product discovery, specifications, design, and development
  • Experience developing business cases, value drivers and positioning documents to develop aligned product capabilities, ideally within a value driver framework 
  • Experience in Agile methodologies to deliver products in a web application environment, serving as a Product Owner for successful product deliveries.
  • Background working collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, Program Management and/or Customer Success)
  • Self-starter, able to work independently, able to succeed in a fast-paced, high intensity start-up environment
  • 5-10 years of experience of product management experience building impactful SaaS products, preferably within digital healthcare, managing product managers, UX designers, clinical managers, engineers, and quality teams
  • Experience leveraging clinical data to improve clinical quality or population health is a big plus
  • Experience in healthcare SaaS is preferred.  

 

Your Skills:

  • You excel at delivering quality products and translating complex customer problems into highly usable solutions.
  • Product management and development best practices, including user personas, use cases, user stories, specifications, and implementation of Agile processes
  • Ability to understand the technology stack and its capabilities as you design and review solutions to support continuous improvement and delivery
  • Demonstrated knowledge of industry-recognized methodologies and software (e.g., Jira, Asana)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong, informed data driven decision making, delegation, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to be flexible/multi-task based on workflow demands
  • Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities; ability to balance customer needs with technical and business priorities
  • Ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Background in digital healthcare solution delivery with an emphasis on SaaS solutions, behavioral health experience a plus
