Senior Brand Designer at The Wild

We’re seeking a designer to take and scale our brand to the next level. This person will reside within the Marketing team and help us design a delightful brand that attracts, engages, and inspires.

In this role, you will work directly with our Marketing team to bring our brand to life visually. You will act as the “voice” of the brand and push our design aesthetic and ensure brand cohesion across all customer and external-facing touchpoints. You will work on a variety of projects such as web/interactive, print, environmental, presentations, digital advertising, and social. You’ll play a central role in defining and expanding the visual language of a growing VR/AR brand with tons of opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow.


  • Think strategically and articulate tactically your compelling concepts through comps, presentations, mood boards, and designs.
  • Collaborate with both the Marketing and the Product Design team to ensure consistency across the brand as a whole
  • Provide art direction for video and photoshoots
  • Create or source/commission illustrations or photography
  • Develop gifs, videos, and other animated graphics
  • Concept, prototype and execute content and experiences in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain brand guidelines. Own the visual identity, typography, palette, illustration, photography, and iconography systems of the brand.
  • Design everything from the website, landing pages, social media, app store, video graphics, banners, emails, illustrations, infographics, presentations, white papers, swag, to trade show booths.
  • Develop a repository of digital ads to be placed in LinkedIn, Instagram, Google Display, and more


  • 6+ years of design experience working at an agency or in-house brand/marketing team
  • Bachelor Degree in Design/Visual Communication preferred, however, your portfolio* and experience will be the main qualification we are seeking
  • Proactive, clear, thoughtfully communicative and can both collaborate and work asynchronously.
  • You are highly organized and can prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • You have a meticulous and discerning design eye.
  • You care about the foundations such as user experience, hierarchy, grid, and typography as much as you care about best practices and performance
  • You love pushing the boundaries of design, and are excited about new and emerging technology.
  • You enjoy working on a small team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • You are able to both push for and defend your ideas, as well as take direction and field critique.
  • You have deep empathy for the people you are designing for, and are devoted to creating for them.
  • Fluency in core design tools, Adobe Creative Cloud and Figma
  • You identify with our culture of creative trust

Bonus Points:

  • Experience or knowledge of 3D design software such as Adobe Dimension or Blender to create 3D illustrations or graphics
  • Webflow or Hubspot experience
  • Experience with illustration, iconography, infographics, photography, video, and motion graphics is a strong plus
  • Copywriting skills
  • Web development
  • Knowledge or experience in 3D design, virtual and/or augmented reality
  • Experience working in a technology startup environment

Who you’ll be working with:

  • Clay Walsh, Marketing & Communications Director— You’ll be reporting to Clay (she/her), who leads the marketing team at The Wild. She’s focused on planning, strategy, metrics, resourcing, allocation of program spend, messaging/positioning, partnerships, and managing the team of contractors. She also owns brand, communications, events, and PR.
  • Austin Baker, Content Marketing Manager— You’ll be collaborating very closely with Austin, who is product-driven and multi-talented, creating everything from webinars, newsletters, blog posts, graphics, gifs, videos, VR demos, presentations, and more.
  • Courtney Holmes, Sr. Demand Generation Manager— Courtney is the strategic demand lead charged with building our customer acquisition program, and responsible for growing our lead volume with sales qualified leads to fill our sales pipeline.
