Who We Are:

Our mission is to enable unprecedented learning for all students with an emphasis on ensuring that race and income are not predictors of success. Lumen provides solutions that create effective learning experiences for students and guide faculty members in the use of evidence-based teaching practices that improve student success.

Lumen is a rapidly growing company—we’ve doubled this last year alone! We are doing something that has not been done before by disrupting higher education. We are committed to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive team. We know we can only achieve our goals by creating a team of differing perspectives, social circumstances, values, and abilities, including members of historically marginalized communities.

Our Culture:

At Lumen, we give you the opportunity to work with amazingly smart humans who genuinely care about each other and making a difference in education. As a company, we not only encourage high performance that disrupts a stale industry—we encourage our employees to be themselves and have fun. This takes the form of encouragement via gifs in Slack, self-expression through team t-shirt design competitions, working together through virtual escape rooms, and working seamlessly across geographies whether on a new idea or a new dinner recipe together. We are inspired by those around us and enjoy working together to leave higher education, Lumen, and each other better than we found them.
