Who We Are:

Our mission is to enable unprecedented learning for all students with an emphasis on ensuring that race and income are not predictors of success. We are currently supporting more than 400,000 students, 5,000 faculty members at more than 500
colleges and universities across the country. Lumen provides solutions that create effective learning experiences for students and guide faculty members in the use of evidence-based teaching practices that improve student success.
Lumen is a rapidly growing company—we’ve doubled this last year alone! We are doing something that has not been done before by disrupting higher education. Our team members thrive in growth environments and are successful due to their creativity, commitment, generosity, openness, and drive to create belonging for our team and community.

We are committed to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive team. We know we can only achieve our goals by creating a team of differing perspectives, social circumstances, values, and abilities, including members of historically marginalized communities.

Our Culture:

At Lumen, we give you the opportunity to work with amazingly smart humans who genuinely care about each other and making a difference in education. As a company, we not only encourage high performance that disrupts a stale industry— we encourage our employees to be themselves and have fun. This takes the form of encouragement via gifs in Slack, self-expression through team t-shirt design competitions, working together through virtual escape rooms, and working seamlessly across geographies whether on a new idea or a new dinner recipe together. We are inspired by those around us and enjoy working together to leave higher education, Lumen, and each other better than we found them.

The Perfect Fit:

You are a leader with a drive to better the employees and the company. A person that is creative, passionate, and can envision elegant solutions where others see only roadblocks. You have innate ability to collaborate with teams to build relationships and deliver great results. You understand how to take the vision of the Lumen and translate it to tactical steps to execute. A team player with an upbeat, positive attitude that has experience dealing with a wide variety of different personalities and doesn’t mind diving into the details or popping up to the bigger picture. A storyteller that provides metrics as we move along in our journey. Someone that thrives on setting goals, demonstrating progress, and moving things forward. Excited by growing your career with us and bringing magic to everyday employee experiences.
