Role Summary

We are adding a Payroll Administrator to support the accounting, compliance, reporting, and management of processing the Company’s payroll. This position works directly with Accounting and Human Resources, with ample opportunities to grow with the company. This new role will be a critical contributor as the company grows its workforce and benefits in the years to come.

The Success You'll Build: Primary Responsibilities and Impact 

  • Process payroll, bonus, and commission payments through an electronic system on a bi-monthly basis, and additional payments as needed in between regularly scheduled pay runs
  • Set up state employment accounts and maintain good standing of all accounts for all states with employees
  • Process payroll related taxes and payment of employee benefits
  • Process new hire information including wage, deduction, and benefit setup, as well employee payroll changes
  • Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors
  • Prepare reports for management, reconcile payroll related expenses to the general ledger, and provide audit support for fiscal year end reviews

The Tools You’ll Use | Our Stack

The company currently uses Rippling to process payroll, however, we are considering changing providers soon. This role would be expected to own the transition and manage the new software after the change has been made. 

The Experiences That Will Help You Succeed:

  • Proven experience as payroll specialist or payroll manager
  • Managing payroll within a multi-state environment
  • BSc/BA in business, accounting or relevant field

The Competencies You’ll Need:

  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software and databases
  • Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality
  • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
