Position Profile:

Summary Paragraph

ESS is looking for a motivated, hard-working Project Manager to join our team. The person is responsible for developing project management and delivery plans, organize, monitor and coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams, contractors, and other parties as required to successfully support and deliver ESS projects to Customers. This position works with different business teams and outside parties, shepherding multiple projects from quoting to shipping or concept to realization. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and successfully achieve performance and delivery requirements. The Project Manager is ultimately responsible to Executive Management for ensuring that all cost, schedule, performance and delivery requirements of assigned projects are satisfied, while also ensuring that a positive, cooperative and professional business relationship is maintained within the customer. …

Qualifications

· Project Management experience working independently and in a virtual cross functional team environment

· Proficient in MS Project – or other project management tools, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint; working knowledge of MS SharePoint

· Excellent organizational and verbal skills with an ability to communicate with executive staff

· Strong customer facing skills, able to successfully adapt and work with varied customer types and personalities.

· Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.

· Positive attitude and strives to improve and learn new things every day.

· A sense of urgency, follow through, and reliability.

· Accepts routine change in the job and department.

· Ability to anticipate needs of project and plant operations.

· Know when and how to ask for assistance to ensure understanding of projects and tasks. Able to accept direction from others.

· Proficient using a PC in a Windows environment with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel.

Primary Responsibilities & Core Duties

· Support project bids and quotes including developing project plans, resourcing, milestones and delivery schedules for proposals

· Create detailed project plans, implementation tasks, milestones and delivery timelines for awarded projects.

· Track implementation tasks throughout the project timeline & prepare project updates

· Responsible for day-to-day tracking of progress, preparing updates, and reporting issues/obstacles preventing timely completion of the project.

· Directs and guides less experienced project team members

· Liaise with functional team leads throughout the project

· Modify project plans Identify issues and act on new tasks throughout implementation

· Direct and motivate functional project team members

· Develop lessons learned from each project and identify training needs and business process changes needed to effectively improve sales operations.

· Develop training programs in conjunction with IT as needed to improve sales operations personnel understanding

· Act as internal business consultant and recommend processes and business changes to improve overall customer experience

· Maintain all controlled document files and records in a timely and accurate manner.

· Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor.

· Create Non-Compliance reports

Additional Requirements & Qualifications

· Legally authorized, U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency. – See Note:

· Ability to fluently read and write English, comprehend, and follow verbal and written instructions.

· Ability to follow job required Standards and Safety Protocols, per pre-defined processes.

· Must be able to wear Personal Protection Equipment according to OSHA rules and regulations.

· Must be willing to submit to a Background Check and a Drug Test according to the BOLI rules and Regulations.

· Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance is required.

Experience Desired

· Experience in a manufacturing environment with dynamic daily priorities.

· Experience in new-product introduction and scale to manufacturing.

· 5-8 years of professional project management experience and use of ERP Systems

· Project Management experience working independently and in a virtual cross functional team environment

· Proficient in MS Project – or other project management tools, Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint; working knowledge of MS SharePoint

Education

· Bachelors degree in engineering required.
