Auth0's Release & Test team builds and maintains the frameworks used to test and release Auth0. The Engineer on the Release & Test team will shape a culture of quality at speed. You will develop processes, metrics, and best practices to ensure we ship with strong and consistent quality.
 
Today we use Node.js for most of our code, so Javascript skill is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Help us implement Auth0's test strategy and evangelize it
  • Create and maintain test automation frameworks and tests
  • Provide support to your customers, the Auth0 development crews
  • Help define and measure service maturity levels
  • Help enforce versioning and change management strategy
  • Help provide confidence that a given component or feature is ready for release
  • Coordinate test coverage, release schedule, and other requirements with product owners
  • Define the approach and infrastructure required for functional, stress, load, perf testing

You might work on:

  • Open source tools, CLIs, and frameworks
  • Writing blog posts about the cool stuff we are doing
  • Collaborating with different crews to improve tests and testability for each service
  • Working with crew members to support continuous delivery of their code
  • Analyzing support cases and production issues to find new ways of catching problems before release
  • Collecting metrics and building dashboards that help foster a culture of quality
  • Building and supporting the tools and infrastructure for UI, API, Stress and Load Testing

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Node, Python, Go, etc)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in a globally distributed environment with a remote workforce
