Staff Accountant at Cloudability

Cloudability is seeking a highly professional and motivated Staff Accountant to perform a variety of accounting duties. Qualified candidates will have a basic understanding of accounting topics and must show an interest in continuing to learn and support the billing team, including some customer facing opportunities. Cloudability is a fast-growing Company requiring team members to juggle multiple roles. This role will include taking ownership of AR and AP. This person will also provide support in the month-end close, as well as working on implementing best practices across the team. Additionally, they will assist with special projects as assigned by the Finance team. This is a great opportunity with high growth potential working closely with the Senior Accountant and VP of Finance for a career minded individual who wants to work for a successful, fast-growing software company.


Position Details:


Accounts Receivable



  • Monthly customer billing activities

  • Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities

  • Review AR aging to ensure compliance; generate age analysis

  • Investigate and resolve customer queries

  • Develop a recovery system and initiate collection efforts

  • Communicate with customers via phone, email, mail or personally

  • Apply cash/checks received against invoices


Accounts Payable



  • Review and code all vendor invoices for entry

  • Processing normal monthly rents, company services, utility bills, and their applicable payments

  • Entering all other approved bills into accounting database (legal, insurance, other professional services, etc.)

  • Weekly payment processing via company check and ACH for all payments approved by VP of Finance

  • Reimbursement payments for employee expenses

  • Review applicable banking transactions to ensure all check and ACH payments processed accurately and accounted for


Other Responsibilities



  • Assist with month-end close reconciliations, including posting of journal entries

  • Support and respond to internal and external audit requests

  • Participate in developing and maintaining department processes up to date; provide timely support of close calendar deadlines

  • Other ad-hoc projects




REQUIREMENTS



  • Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply. We'd love to see progressive experience in corporate accounting

  • Hands-on experience operating financial and reporting systems is preferred

  • Basic knowledge of US GAAP

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel

  • Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional, and quality manner

  • Solve problems analytically; search out relevant information and gauge its importance when making decisions

  • Set a good example of personal integrity and excellent communication skills

  • Demonstrate ability and willingness to learn; seek out development activities to improve skills and increase knowledge; learn from other team members and own mistakes
