I am Oliver the CTO of moovel and I am looking for an iOS developer for the mobility app squad, a cross-functional agile development team. The mobility app provides a multitude of mobility services like public transit, ride-hailing, bike sharing and our own on-demand shuttle service to our users. Our goal is to provide the best possible experience for anyone traveling in an urban environment.

Currently, 250 employees work in small creative teams in Germany and the US at four locations - Hamburg, Berlin, Stuttgart and Portland.

How the role works

The Mobility App is providing the base for most of moovel´s customer facing services. As a member of our squad your responsibility will be to help creating a great experience for the user, but also to support other teams to reach our shared goals.
We are looking for an open minded personality who enjoys working in an agile environment. You will be happy to see the team’s efforts being shipped to the customer in short intervals and strive to learn and share your knowledge with your colleagues. Your mission is to deliver the best possible product through technical excellence.
Our codebase consists of different reusable modules, ranging from networking to the front-facing UI. While focusing on the development of new features, you will also be contributing to the core layers of our application.

Some of the things you will do 

  • You are part of an interdisciplinary agile working team, responsible for building the Mobility app
  • Design, develop, improve and deploy all necessary app components written in Swift
  • Collaborate with other teams, contribute and give feedback to pull requests
  • Participate in planning meetings and support product and design with your deep iOS knowledge
  • Manage your code in multiple repos using Git and GitFlow along with GitHub Enterprise
  • Keep a high quality standard, write unit tests and improve overall code coverage
  • Build and release with Fastlane and TeamCity

About you 

  • At least 3 years of experience in writing, releasing and maintaining native iOS Apps
  • Deep knowledge of Swift, Objective-C knowledge is a plus
  • Expert understanding of the CocoaTouch Frameworks
  • Excellent in app architecture and code quality
  • Good sense for native interaction patterns and usability applications
  • Proficient in using Xcode and Instruments
  • Strong debugging skills with riddle solver attitude
  • Experience in collaborating in software projects and within full stack agile developments teams
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
