Internship | Assistant Editor
The Assistant Editor will get hands on experience in almost every facet of video editing. S/he will work on a variety of video projects and creatively collaborate with a veteran filmmaker. Brandlive is looking for someone who is passionate about post-production, eager to learn, able to implement original ideas, and can effectively communicate with the Editor/Director of Brand Storytelling. This internship is ideal for someone who wants a career in video production and is excited to learn from and collaborate with seasoned professionals.
Assisting the Editor in all aspects of post-production
Logging raw footage
Researching and acquiring b-roll
Building assemblies and rough cuts
Creating lower thirds and other simple graphics
Preparing projects for sound mixer and colorist
Collaborating with editor to create the final product
Projects will include: video case studies, customer testimonials, event highlight reels, and video inspiration guides
Matt Mastrantuono is the Director of Brand Storytelling. He works in the Marketing department creating short documentaries, narrative commercials, video case studies, and regularly hosts Brandlive broadcasts. In his non-Brandlive work, Matt has directed documentary films for CBS Sports, directed the feature film Chasing Sarasota, and wrote/produced for the Showtime documentary, Glena.

April 2nd - June 10th | 60 hours total
Weekly work schedule is flexible based on student’s school schedule
Completed at least 2 years of college
Seeking degree in film/video production or related major
Good communicator who can work in a fast paced environment
Strong work ethic and detail oriented
Excited to learn and able to independently problem solve
Interest in marketing, startup companies, and live video is a bonus
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, Mac OS, and Google Drive
All hardware and software is provided
$15/hour + college credit
On-the-job editing experience
Collaborate with and learn from a veteran filmmaker
Hourly compensation and college credit
Work on projects that involve major brands and have impact on Brandlive business
Learn important skills to help with future employment
Involved in all aspects of post-production and will leave with strong understanding of how to take raw footage and craft it into polished final product.
