As a Sr. Accountant at Opal you will play a critical role in the monthly, quarterly and year-end close process. The ideal candidate has a strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition, international consolidations, and accounting processes/controls. S(he) should be a self-motivated individual who has a thirst to develop new processes while improving existing ones.


Play an active role in the financial close process and preparation of month-end journal entries
Review foreign subsidiary financial statements and consolidation process
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, fluctuation analysis and management reporting
Review department and account coding for appropriate accounting treatment
Assist in preparation of schedule for our external auditors during annual audits
Work collaboratively and communicate often with several internal departments as well as external vendor and customer contacts
Exercise independent judgement and autonomy when executing on individual projects or initiatives
Maintain and improve accounting process with a high attention to detail
Adapt to new tasks and responsibilities as the business grows and changes

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
Big 4 public accounting experience and CPA preferred
3+ years of experience in Accounting and/or Finance, SaaS experience preferred
Advance knowledge of US GAAP
Netsuite experience a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-growing environment where change is the norm
