Software Quality Engineer / QA Engineer at Moovel Transit

The Job:

moovel North America is looking for a Software Quality Engineer interested in delivering world-class products to transit agencies and users throughout the world. What You’ll Be Doing:

Working collaboratively in an agile cross-functional team
Working collaboratively with the Quality Team on quality initiatives
Identifying functional requirements and quality standards with Engineering & Product
Creating and documenting test plans and test cases
Reviewing automated unit, integration and client-facing end-to-end tests
Writing automated integration and client-facing end-to-end tests
Performing manual testing when needed and identifying how to automate it moving forward
Reporting defects ensuring reproducibility
Investigating defects to determine cause and accelerate resolution
Documenting strategies, issues plans and processes.
Working with Product Owner and Product Manager to understand requirements
Estimating level of effort and story points to support planning
Ensuring quality activities and tasks are considered in planning and estimation
Participating in test automation architecture, technical design sessions and code reviews
Other duties as assigned by company
Required Qualifications and Skills:

BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
3+ years of experience testing mobile applications, web applications or RESTful web services
Experience writing code, evaluating code and contributing to quality solutions
Experience working in an agile development environment
Extensive knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery
Practical experience with Java or Javascript
Understanding of multiple automated testing frameworks and concepts
Proficient with development tools & frameworks such as Mocha, Chai, Protractor, Selenium, Android Studio, Espresso, Xcode and Instruments
Experience with cross-browser and multi-platform testing
Basic understanding of the AWS stack
Expertise with source control (git)
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence or similar tools
Familiarity with mobile development (Android or iOS) is a plus
