Sr. Software Quality Engineer at Moovel Transit

The Job:

moovel is looking for an experienced Sr. QA Engineer who will have a strong focus to championing quality initiatives in a cross-functional team while building out test automation frameworks as well as tests for mobile ticketing products and their underlying services.

In this role, you will be comfortable challenging assumptions and providing insight to problems before they happen, while also creating and executing automated frameworks and tests for mobile and web applications. You will be looked to as an expert with testing and analysis when evaluating and creating testing strategies.

This position is a collaborative role that requires working with product stakeholders within and outside your direct team. This position reports directly to a cross-functioning team lead and is based at the Company’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

Desired Skills and Experience:

5+ years testing experience in mobile, web, and/or APIs
Experience working with various automated testing methodologies and tools required
Experience using open source toolsets for UI and API testing
Testing within an Agile/Scrum team
Experience with native iOS and Android automation is strongly preferred
JavaScript language experience required
Source control (Git or Subversion)
Knowledge of error handling and debugging techniques
Experience working closely and communicating with designers and developers
Cross-Browser and Multi-Platform testing
Experience with development tools: Bitbucket, continuous integration, dependency management, Atlassian Tool Set
Knowledge of how automation fits into the CI and deployment processes
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work well individually as well as in a highly collaborative team
Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies
Experience using automation tools such as Appium, Protractor, Selenium, Android Studio, Espresso, Xcode and Instruments
Self-starter willing to grow and push new technologies
Nice to Have Skills:

Performance testing using JMeter
Experience with Java
