VP of Accounts at Moovel Transit

The Job:

The Vice President of Accounts is responsible for ensuring the success and execution of all client contracts. Through leadership of the Account Management team, the VP Accounts ensures our customers have seamless implementation and ongoing support for their mobility platform. This position monitors and approves elements of the mobility platform project implementation from inception to completion including proposal development, contract negotiation, product design, procurement, subcontracting, testing, training, delivery and long-term support. This role enables the growth of sales opportunities by ensuring that company and client project objectives are fulfilled. This position reports directly to the Chief Business Development Officer and is based at the Company’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

What You Will Be Doing:

Core Responsibilities

Responsible for the success of all agency contracts and ensures fulfillment of all deliverables
Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with all key clients and partners
Develop client retention and growth strategies to ensure revenue and user growth that align with company goals
Develop and standardize best-in-class processes for program implementation and client lifecycle management
Manage, mentor, and develop Account Manager team members and provide opportunities for career growth and achievement
Project Control and Management

Work with transit agencies and transportation providers at all levels to implement and maintain mobility solutions
Manage and advocate critical roadmap requirements with internal teams including but not limited to product management and engineering
Maintain extensive knowledge of contract requirements and business rules and assure they are applied to all deliverables
Implementation of project control practices and methodologies to insure visibility, tracking and progress. Identify and maintain risk assessments. Maintain understanding of project schedule and progress across all teams
Using technical and product knowledge, liaison between internal teams and clients in regards to work status within the software lifecycle and represent engineering process as it relates to project delivery
Facilitate major purchase orders and subcontracts for contract delivery
Client Management

Identify the client and company objectives for the contract and ensure that they are met
Employ exceptional relationship management at the most senior levels; diplomatic, consultative and persuasive in both public and private environments
Maintain a comprehensive and relevant understanding of transportation and mobility best practices as related to the contracts and act as advisor to the clients on these matters
Navigate sensitive and highly visible (press, political e.g.) environments with ease and skill
Contract Management

Ensure that all contract deliverables and services are properly delivered to the customer for acceptance within the contractual schedule
Support negotiations as required with the customer including cure notice response letters
Develop and secure change orders and proposals for new business opportunities
Communication & Presentation

Strong communication skills (written and oral); able to create meaningful client communication strategies and effectively manage the communication across multiple roles within an agency and the company
Conduct regular program evaluation and review meetings to identify current and future problems and initiate actions for their resolution
Ability to work with cross functional teams (product management and engineering) to represent the agency voice and negotiate strongly for agencies’ needs in alignment with company objectives
Risk Management

Identifies across agencies product risks and able to develop a cohesive and analytical process to communicate with internal teams for resolution
Confidence in messaging with agency stakeholders, develops creative solutions and negotiates risk management for balanced results
Adoption & Marketing Management

Work in conjunction with moovel marketing team to lead best practices discussions on how agencies should market mobile ticketing and strategies for adoption management
Support adoption of moovel’s consumer application within coinciding client regional environments
Project Finance Management

Work in conjunction with the finance department to support appropriate revenue recognition and accurate invoicing
Analyze and develop revenue forecasts for all contracts
Ensures that contracts are met in the most efficient and profitable manner
Business Development

Responsible for leading follow-on business development with existing contracts
Assists in proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, negotiation and administration of contracts
Participates in new technology development and potential new business
Assists in the development of new product offerings through in-market research and client-based requests
Provide client and revenue-driven requirements to the Product organization to ensure that product offerings continue to meet market demand
Desired Skills and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in business-related field required; MBA preferred
10+ years of directly related account management and government contracting experience with at least 5 years of managerial or supervisory experience required
Knowledge of transit and transportation principles and practices specifically mobility and fare collection systems preferred
Knowledge of mobile app development practices preferred
Proven ability to leads and direct the work of others
Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills
Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, and organization skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to sit for long periods of time
Travel up to 25-50% of time
