Security Operations Engineer at Auth0

Auth0 allows anyone to authenticate and authorize users, applications, and APIs with any identity provider running on any stack and any device. Security is at the core of our product and the security of our customers and their data is paramount. We are looking for Security Operations Engineers to join us in keeping Auth0 and our customers data safe.

As part of the Security Operations team you will build, own and maintain the critical security infrastructure that provides visibility into Auth0’s production operations. We are looking for engineers who are passionate about making reliable and scalable infrastructure. You will build tools and drive automation - removing any manual process that will prevent the security team maintaining coverage as Auth0 grows.

We will support your development, encourage you to contribute to open source projects and present at conferences. Design, build and maintain the systems that help keep Auth0 secure
Develop tools to test, monitor and enforce security policy
Demonstrate the effectiveness and coverage of these systems
Automate security process to reduce as much manual process as possible
Own and improve our security monitoring pipeline
Support and contribute to our chatops culture
Participate in the on-call rotation to support the infrastructure and respond to security events

A grounding in information security principles and a strong interest in security
A background in Development or Operations
Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, Node, Go etc.)
Strong Linux experience
Experience with log collection and storage (e.g. ELK/EFK stacks, Sumo Logic etc)
Experience with the administration of AWS
Strong written and verbal communication skills
You should be comfortable working in a global, distributed environment with a remote workforce.
Extra Points:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent educational or professional experience and/or qualifications
A passion for infrastructure as code and have used tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
Experience performing and remediating vulnerability scans
You have used configuration management tools (e.g. Salt Stack, Ansible, Puppet, etc)
You write readable, maintainable code and have experience managing source code with git
