Account Manager at Moovel Transit

The Job:

The Account Manager will ensure our customers have seamless implementation and ongoing support for their transit mobility platform. This role will monitor and approve elements of the transit mobility platform project implementation from inception to completion including proposal development, contract negotiation, product design, procurement, subcontracting, testing, training, delivery and long support, while also ensuring company and client project objectives are met ensuring growth of sales opportunities. This position reports directly to the VP of Account Management and is based at the Company’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

What You Will Be Doing:

Project Control and Management

Work with transit agencies and transportation providers at all levels to implement and maintain transit mobility solutions
Negotiate critical roadmap requirements with internal teams including but not limited to product management and engineering
Use project management best practices and methodologies to guide agency implementations
Identify and maintain risk assessment
Approve and monitor major purchase orders and subcontracts for contract delivery
Provide contractual assistance to the Requirements Manager for scope requirements, feasibility and cost estimation
Client Management

Develop strong relationships with clients and serve as the primary point of contact for with the customer and internal teams
Interface with customers on technical issues
Identify contractual objectives and ensure they are fulfilled
Employ exceptional relationship management at the most senior levels; diplomatic, consultative and persuasive
Maintain a comprehensive and relevant understanding of transportation and mobility best practices and act as an advisor to the client on these matters
Navigate sensitive and highly visible (press, political, e.g.) environments
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the transportation and political environment in the client’s service area; identify factors driving decision making and policy decisions
Lead product training activities and coordinate financial reconciliation training
Contract Management

Ensure client acceptance of all deliverables and services within the contract schedule
Support client negotiations as required; including cure notice response letters
Develop and secure change orders and proposals for new business opportunities
Communication & Presentation

Develop client communication strategies and effectively manage communication across multiple stakeholders within assigned clients
Conduct regular program evaluation and review meetings, to identify current and future problems, and initiate actions for resolution
Risk Management

Identify cross agency product risks and develop resolution processes with internal teams
Develop creative solutions, and negotiate risk management policies, for mutually beneficial outcomes
Adoption & Marketing Management

Collaborate with the moovel Marketing team and lead best practice discussions on how agencies should market mobile ticketing products and develop strategies for adoption management
Support client adoption of moovel’s consumer applications
Project Finance Management

Determine appropriate revenue recognition and ensure accurate invoicing
Ensure conformity of financial requirements in the most efficient and profitable manner possible
Business Development

Assist in proposal preparation, statements of work and specifications, estimation of product/service costs, and administration of contracts
Responsible for promoting new technology and identifying new business opportunities with existing clients
Desired Skills and Experience:

3-5 years in a client facing role; preferably with a mobile product and B2B/B2C
Experience partnering with transit agencies and managing government contracts preferred
Excellent client management and diplomacy skills are required to manage public and private environments
Ability to work with cross functional teams (product management and engineering) to represent and negotiate agency needs
Proven ability to influence key decision makers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work well individually as well as in a highly collaborative team
Demonstrated interest in learning new technologies
Bachelor degree in related field of study required

Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives, goals and projects
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Travel up to 25% of time
