IOTAS is a VC-backed Portland based startup and the emerging market leader in the Smart Home IoT (Internet of Things) space. Working directly with real estate developers and ownership groups with a focus on the MultiFamily Apartment industry, the IOTAS platform integrates hardware with software and was designed as an enterprise level integration platform for MDU’s. We digitize new construction and retrofit properties from units to common spaces via installation of smart home devices and our 2017 CES Innovation Award winning universal smart hub, all before the residents move in. This allows for property future proofing with new products (Locks, Voice, etc) to be seamlessly added to the platform. IOTAS then charges an ongoing software service fee to the properties. Recently featured in Fast Company, Fortune, Bloomberg, Yahoo Finance, NPR and Wired.

Position Description:
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing, and fun-loving person to join our expanding sales team. IOTAS is still in “start-up” mode and this position entails inbound/outbound selling and day to day assisting of the VP Sales & Marketing with all company sales, marketing, and partnership initiatives. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of professionalism, loves the thrill of the hunt, is capable of building and growing a pipeline of business. They also have experience navigating through organizations, doing deep discovery and selling to multiple decision makers. You will be the front line of the sales process and spend your days prospecting into large real estate development firms and ownership groups, and are measured by your seamless handoff of qualified leads to the team. Your Day-to-Day:

Research, identify, and tenaciously generate weekly new opportunities
Generate sales opportunities through inbound and outbound prospecting while converting marketing generated leads into in-person meetings or demo’s.
Establish and build strong relationships with C Level Executives
Methodically qualify, build, and manage an accurate sales pipeline; maintain a high volume of activity including outbound calls, emails, & social selling
Responsible for accurately tracking customer interactions and information in our CRM
Thrive on change while remaining highly organized, optimistic, and coachable
Demonstrate strong knowledge of IOTAS product and values, industry trends, and competitive landscape
Reports to VP Sales & Marketing


What You Bring to the Table:

1-3 years of experience in sales, sales development or professional experience
Bachelor’s Degree
Strong track record of achievement
Previously trained in consultative / value based selling is a plus.
Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
Arrange and attend business meetings with perspective and existing clients
Prepare sales contracts
Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
Build long term relationships with new and existing customers
Technically savvy and specifically skilled in using CRM to manage sales cycles
Real Estate development industry experience and knowledge a plus


Compensation:

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience, including stock options
