Accounting Associate at Moovel Transit

The Job:

moovel NA has an exciting opportunity for a qualified and motivated Accounting Associate to handle expense related financial processes including critical areas of the Accounts Payable cycle, departmental cost accounting procedures and client revenue reconciliation support. The Accounting Associate will also provide support to the Revenue Accountant in reconciling revenue across multiple clients.

To be successful, the candidate must be a very detail-oriented, flexible, hands-on individual who has the ability to work independently and provide advanced accounting expertise in support of the company’s expense cycle. This position reports directly to the Company’s Director of Finance and is based at the Company’s headquarters in Portland, Oregon.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Serve as full-charge Accounts Payable accountant performing all tasks associated with the Accounts Payable and expenditure cycles as well as departmental cost accounting
Assist with adherence to documented processes and controls to ensure compliance and maintain and enforce the Company's expense and travel policies
Assist other Finance roles in working with staff to timely submit office and travel expense reporting, to ensure completeness and accuracy
Serve as primary point of contact for corporate credit card activity and reconciliation
Primary point of contact for the setup and management of the merchant accounts between our merchant account processors and our clients
Provide support for daily, weekly and monthly transaction reconciliation between our merchant account processors and our internal proprietary reporting database
Assist with monthly accounting close efforts, including completeness of Accounts Payable and preparation of monthly expense and prepaid reconciliations
Assist with streamlining systems and reporting tools to ensure efficient and accurate recording and proper classification and timing of expenditures
Assist with both internal and external auditors regarding revenue and proactively resolve all expense-related issues
Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years corporate and/or public accounting experience
Bachelors in Finance or Accounting
Experience with credit card/merchant bank-based revenue reconciliation processes
Experience with attestation engagements; compliance and/or financial
Strong proficiency with Excel
Experience with QuickBooks
Other duties as required by the Company
