Production Engineer at Auth0

For many companies, Auth0 is a core part of their application infrastructure. Our goal every day is to ensure we’re shipping Developer Joy, and one of the most important ways we internalize this is ensure we provide to a service that is highly available for our cloud-based customers.

Auth0 is looking for Production Engineers to help ensure that our services stay up and running while continuing to rapidly ship software that our customers love. A Production Engineer is part of a crew (or crews) and is responsible for making sure the crew's services/components work reliably.

If you are a developer or a systems engineer with deep knowledge of domains (be it networking, linux kernel, systems scaling, algorithm optimization, etc) and aim to code yourself out of a job by continually automating, then we would like to meet with you.

Setup monitoring, build dashboards and configure alerts for the services they are responsible for
Participates and/or directs Incident Management activities associated with crew's services/components
Maintain the CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Delivery) pipeline for the a set of services they own
Implement automated responses to alerts to solve detected issues without need for manual intervention
Troubleshoot issues in production that are causing network failures, high latency for a certain operation, etc.

In-depth knowledge of Linux internals
Salt experience (preferred, but not required if familiar with a complimentary tool)
Programming and debugging expertise (node.js is the primary production language)
Python scripting expertise (our preferred language for scripts)
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
