Finishing Role at The Renewal Workshop

We are looking for someone who can review that each garment is perfect for our customers by being very careful and detail oriented. We call this a “Finishing Role” because they put the final finishing touches on each piece.

Typical duties include:

  • Preparing garments for the customer by de-pilling, removing lint, and cleaning up loose threads
  • Review of sewn on labels
  • Review of repairs
  • Entering garment information into computer inventory system

Level:  Some sewing and apparel experience

Hourly Pay Rate: $15 per hour

Job Location:  Cascade Locks, Oregon

Position Type:  Full Time / Part Time

Education & Experience Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Working knowledge and experience of apparel and sewing is a benefit
  • Ability to follow all pre-established installation and quality methods, procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency of work

  • Must be able to hear; perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction, and having the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and making fine discriminations in sound
  • Must be able to carry/lift; ability to carry boxes or other facility equipment up to 45lbs in weight
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
