About the Role

To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring an RIA Channel Marketing Consultant who will help to develop our external wholesaling strategy for effectively distributing our financial products and solutions to the Registered Investment Advisors (RIA) channel.

What You'll Be Doing

The RIA Channel Marketing Consultant is a 90 day contract with the following responsibilities:

  • Deliver an initial assessment of the product/market fit within the RIA channel and, potentially, the independent broker/dealer channel. 

  • Conduct market analysis relevant to CrowdStreet and its suite of products and services with output on target segments and key sales and marketing strategies for each. 

  • Evaluate and recommend data sources for building a prospect list with the requisite attributes of firms and contacts. 

  • Conduct research on ideal product structure: legal structure, investment profile, key terms, and fee rates.

  • Identify target partnership opportunities with criteria and logic for each

  • Make relevant introductions to target firms or other centers of influence in the RIA space. 

  • Assist in recruiting a permanent sales hire who will join the Investor Relations team as the primary external wholesaler of CrowdStreet products.

What We Must Have

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in the financial industry as an external wholesaler focusing on the RIA channel.

  • Broad view of the market landscape of possible partnering opportunities

  • Experience selling or wholesaling alternative investments, ideally private equity or other illiquid assets.

  • Exposure to commercial real estate - must be conversant on private real estate investments.

  • Bachelor’s level degree.

  • FINRA Series 65 license or Series 7+66 or equivalent industry knowledge.
