About the Role
To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Software Sales Representative with a proven track record of success selling technology solutions into the real estate or finance industries. This position is based at our Portland headquarters and reports to our Director of Sales.
As a Software Sales Rep, you will be responsible for selling our SaaS Investment Software product to commercial real estate investment managers (Sponsors) within your designated territory.
Our customers are private real estate investment firms, so understanding how they think, act and invest, is paramount to success in this role. Your ability to ask questions in a conversational manner, discover the customer's needs and then diagnose their pain points are essential skills. The entire online investing space for private real estate industry is new, so you will need to be an effective education-based sales person with the ability to compel them to purchase...traditional closing skills still matter. Our technology solutions are complex, so you have to be very intelligent and adaptable with the ability to position our value-proposition based on your buyer's needs.
Real estate is a relationship-based business, so your job does not end after your first sale is closed. Fortunately, you will be partnered with a Customer Success Manager on each of your customer accounts. Working in tandem, you will play an active role in selling new CrowdStreet Marketplace projects and cross-selling additional products and services.
What We Must Have:
2+ years selling complex vertical specific solutions targeting new accounts
Experience selling SaaS solutions
Experience with advanced sales automation tools (i.e. Salesforce)
Interest in FinTech, Real Estate, and/or Real Estate Investing
What is Nice to Have:
Experience selling in Finance and/or Real Estate sectors
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
Direct experience with investment real estate
Experience with selling a Marketplace solution
