About the Role

We are looking for a Capital Markets Intern reporting to the Director of Sales who would like to leverage their passion in real estate, finance, or business development  to help our organization continue to the next level. As Capital Markets Intern you will have the opportunity to rotate between the Sales, Investments, and Investor Client Services team. The internship is expected to last 3 months with an estimated start date of June 17th.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist sales to drive forward prospecting efforts to Sponsors; Identify Sponsor prospects in a defined market, do outreach and set high quality meetings for the Managing Director role. 

  • Help investments to analyze deals by collecting, organizing and maintaining property level due diligence items.

  • Help Investor Client Services in maintaining and expanding relationships with our investor base, helping them with any of their support needs.

What We Must Have

  • Bachelor’s level degree (in progress or completed) with a real estate, finance or business administration focus.

  • Graduation between May 2019 and June 2020

  • Proficiency in analyzing Microsoft Excel based financial models 

  • A clear and concise communication style, along with excellent phone skills, phone etiquette, written and oral communication skills. 

  • Proven ability to take on multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks based on current workflow, and able to actively seek out information and resources to complete assignments effectively and efficiently.

  • The ability to ask for the sale (booking an appointment for the Managing Director role), and do so in a way that comes naturally within the context of each outbound call.

  • Experience working as part of a diverse team to collaboratively achieve bold project objectives with a willingness to learn and be a great teammate.

What is nice to have:

  • Experience or exposure to CRE brokerage, private equity, venture capital, investment management or capital markets.

  • CRE financial model familiarity is a PLUS
