THE ROLE

 

Amplion is focused on leveraging sophisticated machine learning to read sources of biological and scientific information and collect, analyze and categorize the world’s biomarker knowledge. Amplion is looking for a Data Analyst to join our Business Intelligence and Analytics development team. You will work with our subject-matter experts to extract data from our proprietary databases to meet customer requirements.  



RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Generate dashboards, reports and analytics from various Amplion databases, using Looker, SQL, python, and other software tools as necessary.

  • Develop new Looks for embedding in Amplion software products.

  • Develop familiarity with Amplion’s data models to serve as the internal expert on what can be extracted from our systems.

  • Leverage external sources to enrich reports when necessary, with support from the Data Engineering team.



PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelors in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems or equivalent

  • 3-5 years experience in a Data Analyst role

  • Strong communication skills and a desire to join an exceptional team of Data Scientists and Technologists

  • Proficiency with SQL, Python and BI visualization experience (i.e. Looker, Tableau, etc.)

  • Relevant experience with Neo4j or general graph databases, Jupyter Notebook, Postgres, MySQL is preferred

  • Background in Life Sciences is preferred but not required
