Director of Marketing at The Riveter

The Director of Marketing will help develop the strategy to help bring The Riveter products - physical and digital - to the masses. This role will go to someone who is equal parts creative and analytical and who can meld their mastery of business, media and cultural trends, marketing channels and campaign management with business and growth objectives. Experience, aptitude, and a proven track record in the full spectrum of traditional and non-traditional marketing channels is a must. The Director of Marketing will report directly to the Chief Marketing Officer, and will manage brand strategy, national campaigns, new market expansion efforts, and digital platform expansion. In addition to directly managing a team, this person will collaborate across departments on strategy and execution against goals. This role will be based in Seattle.

What You’ll Do:

  • Oversee the planning, development, and execution of strategy and tactics for earned, owned and paid marketing and branding initiatives against growth goals
  • Create and operationalize go-to-market strategies aligned with brand positioning
  • Develop and maintain budget and timelines and clearly communicate any deviations from expectations
  • Develop and manage key vendor relationships, including managing RFP processes and acquisition
  • Report on progress and optimization to leadership
  • Lead and synthesize research on product and member experience
  • Work with product team to develop member benefits
  • Develop partnerships with appropriate brands and outlets
  • Work with digital team to develop key platform attributes
  • Analyze competitive landscape and report to internal teams
  • Develop and grow marketing team

  • Have bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Have 7+ years consumer marketing experience for established brand or marketing agency, managing campaign execution from idea through final measurement reporting
  • Have proven expertise in core marketing channels and functions, including, but not limited to, brand strategy, creative, advertising, social, digital, experiential, and PR
