To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Director of People,  reporting to the CEO, who would like to leverage their expertise and passion for people and culture to help our organization continue to the next level. As Director of People, you will be responsible for all major components of the company’s people and culture functions. Our people and company culture are part of the foundation of our success,  and you will lead the charge in ensuring that we have the best recruiting strategy, performance, compensation and retention plans, training and development and company culture.


What You'll Be Doing 

  • Oversee all dimensions of HR and people operations with a strong emphasis on supporting our recruiting, onboarding and retention processes as we continue to rapidly grow

  • Supervise and build out a people operations team as the company grows (currently, people operations associate, office manager, and contract recruiter)

  • Develop and manage all HR and people operations: systems, processes, and programs; e.g. onboarding, coaching for effective 1:1’s, people feedback process, benefits, compensation, recruiting, immigration, training, and everything else in between

  • Create and implement people-centric programs, including training and development, recognition and feedback

  • Partner with the management team to manage new hire performance and evolve onboarding and new hire orientation programs

  • Provide strategic HR support to functional teams in areas such as performance management, management training and coaching, organizational development, diversity initiatives,  and people relations

  • Increase speed of new hire performance and ramp by building and facilitating comprehensive onboarding programs for new hires

  • Develop and implement communication and people engagement strategies

  • Uphold culture of transparent feedback by addressing people relations issues quickly, consistently and with respect and grace

  • Up-level organizational talent through proactive coaching in hiring and performance management


What We Must Have

  • BA/BS degree with 8+ years of experience working in Human Resources or a related function, including in a leadership role

  • Interpersonal skills to drive engagement, motivate people  and influence culture

  • Experience working in a dynamic, fluid and fast-paced environment

  • Previous experience working in a start-up environment required, technology company preferred

  • Proven track record of creating solid relationships with internal business partners

  • Experience in developing, executing and facilitating programs around people training and development

  • Experience in supporting talent acquisition for a high growth organization

  • Passion for helping managers with organizational planning, people career growth programs and mentoring

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and HRIS (bonus for having implemented as well)

  • Knowledge of current state and federal labor laws, as well as recent changes and trends in employment practices

  • PHR or SPHR certification
