Due to explosive growth, Auth0 is seeking a Vice President of Solution Engineering to help lead and scale our global Solutions Engineering pre-sales team. This is a full time leadership role overseeing the management and growth of our highly productive team of Solutions Engineers.
 
Successful candidates will be located on the West Coast.

Responsibilities:

    • Lead, mentor and coach a global team of ~20 highly technical Solutions Engineers and SE Managers in all segments and geographies.
    • Recruit, hire, onboard and certify new team members; ensure the team remains up to date on industry and product trends.
    • Develop and deliver on a career roadmap that ensures all team members have a clear path to reach their professional goals.
    • Develop technical sales strategies that increase win conversion and ensure smooth handoff/s to post sales teams.
    • Drive operational excellence by implementing processes and policies that create efficiencies during a time of massive growth.
    • Ensure strong feedback loops between the Solution Engineering team and the Product, Engineering, Marketing and Professional Services organizations.
    • Stay up to date on industry trends through self study, research, online courses as needed.

Requirements:

    • You have worked in high-growth environments, and have built medium to large distributed, technical teams.
    • You have managed and/or been responsible for technical teams outside the US.
    • You have experience managing, coaching and growing other Solutions Engineers and Managers/Team Leads.
    • You have at least 5 years in SaaS, preferably selling to either a Developer or DevOps audience.
    • You care deeply about culture and values, and can be a steward for transparency, collaboration, inclusiveness, accountability and experimentation.
    • You work closely with your peer organizations to ensure cross-team collaboration is effective.
    • You have outstanding communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively interface with business, executive, and technical teams.
    • Experience with modern services for application development (eg: AWS, Azure)
    • Experience with modern application development methods (eg microservices, continuous deployment/continuous delivery, agile)
    • Experience with at least one backend stack (eg.Node, .NET, Java).
    • Experience with at least one popular frontend stack (eg. Angular, React).
