To support our company’s rapid growth, we are hiring a Commercial Real Estate Sales Financial Analyst to support the sales team for the CrowdStreet marketplace, reporting to the VP of Sales. You will use your financial and commercial real estate (“CRE”) experience to support the sales team in their review of potential sponsors and investment offerings to growth the CrowdStreet marketplace.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Support the Sales team with the collection and review of sponsor and offering related materials.

  • Train the sales and services teams on commercial real estate finance, private equity, and capital markets nuances to support effective communication with, and deep understanding, of sponsors.

  • Analyze submitted sponsor executive summaries, real estate financial models, cash flow projections, valuation models and related due diligence items and deliver initial analysis and feedback to the sales team and sponsors.

  • Present the comprehensive initial sponsor and offering package/narrative to the investments team for review

  • Work closely with the investments team throughout the entire screening process, co-managing sponsor communication efforts along the way.

  • Through this process, serve as the conduit between the sales and investments teams - guiding the sales team in sourcing the sponsor and offerings and an advocate for sponsors to the investments team.

  • Serve as the sales team liaison to the product and investment teams in developing process or product enhancements/demo’s needs to support the sales cycle.

What We Must Have

  • Bachelor’s level degree (real estate, finance or business administration)

  • 4+ years of experience working in a related field such as CRE brokerage, private equity, investment management or capital markets

  • Experience underwriting office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and multifamily investments for both existing assets and development opportunities

  • Proficiency in analyzing Microsoft Excel based financial models for CRE projects of all types

  • Advanced knowledge of quantitative and qualitative factors crucial to CRE analysis coupled with the ability to perform sensitivity analysis

  • Experience in the review of partnership documents to ensure consistency with financial models

  • Proven ability to take on multiple responsibilities and prioritize tasks based on current workflow, and able to actively seek out information and resources to complete assignments effectively and efficiently

  • Experience working as part of a diverse team to collaboratively achieve bold project objectives with a willingness to learn and be a great teammate

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, organization, and process

Not Required, But Nice to Have

  • Experience with Argus, CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, or other CRE software programs;

  • Understanding of the real estate capital raising process, including knowledge of Regulation D offerings, such as 506 (b) and 506 (c).
